Samsung Electronics today announced that its QLED and Lifestyle 2022 TVs have been recognized by the world’s leading certification institutes for eye safety and color technology. The news comes as the company announced its new QLED and Lifestyle TVs at CES 2022.

Samsung Lifestyle 2022 televisions have won Eye Care certification from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE) in Germany, one of the largest technical-scientific associations in Europe with over 36,000 members. The certification applies to Samsung Lifestyle 2022 TV models, including The Frame, The Serif and The Sero. Displays are rated on various categories including “Safety”, “Easy on the eyes”, flicker level, consistency and color fidelity.

The new Lifestyle TVs have been assessed for their safety against blue light emission levels and melatonin inhibition based on a light hazard classification method defined by the Electrotechnical Commission international (IEC). Samsung Lifestyle 2022 TVs meet IEC standards for screen flicker, which can cause eye strain or headaches for viewers. They have also been recognized for excellence in color fidelity and uniformity of picture quality, both of which contribute to the level of eye comfort when watching TV.

Samsung Lifestyle 2022 TVs1 have also been verified as “glare free” by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a leading independent company in the field of security science. UL’s verification validates the “Glare Free” statement by rating products against the Unified Glare Rating (UGR) test standard set by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). Samsung’s new Lifestyle TV models use a new matte screen with anti-glare, anti-glare and anti-fingerprint properties to deliver optimum brightness and the best picture quality without glare.
