Celebrities pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman a year after his death
Pay homage. On the first anniversary of Chadwick Boseman’s death, several of his famous friends and colleagues shared heartfelt memories of the Black Panther Star.
Lupita Nyong’o, who starred alongside the late Golden Globe winner in the MCU movie, posted a candid snap of the pair via Instagram on Friday, August 27.
“I didn’t know that I could miss his laughter and his silence in equal measure,” Nyong’o, 38, captioned the post. “I do. Yes… A year after he passed away, the memory of @chadwickboseman is still alive in me.

A week earlier, Boseman’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, paid a special tribute to her late spouse on the TV special “Stand Up to Cancer” on August 21.
Ledward, 30, sang a touching rendition of “I’ll Be Seeing You” at the time. The telethon co-host, Anthony anderson, introduced Boseman’s widow with a heartfelt tribute to the Marvel star.
“Many of us were devastated to learn of the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman after privately battling cancer for several years,” said the Blackish star, 51, said on the show. “The world has lost an incredible artist and a true hero. But before being a public figure, he was a person like you or me, a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, a colleague, a husband. Many of us know all too well the divide the death of a loved one leaves in the lives of those who love them.
He concluded his speech at the time, “Here to perform a song about life with the reality of loss and find a way forward is Chadwick’s wife, Simone.”
