When Rob Lowe appeared on “The View” in 2011 to promote his book, “Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography,” he shared one of his most surprising revelations.
“I flew with the 9/11 hijackers on the dry runway… without realizing it. I was filming ‘The West Wing’ in DC at the time and I always took, I think it was 93 or 73, the flight from Dulles to Los Angeles that they finally put in the Pentagon, ” he told the show’s hosts.
The actor continued, “And so it was 11 days before 9/11 and you know I do a lot of flights and I didn’t think about it. I got on the flight and it was packed, small plane I looked in the cabin, I don’t remember anything in particular, no one looked scary, no one looked like a terrorist… It looked like a perfectly normal flight.
During most of the flight, Lowe revealed he learned the truth a year later when he received a letter from the Maryland Attorney General advising him that he was on the list of people to be dropped off for the Chief. al-Qaeda, Zacarias Moussaoui. The “9-1-1 Lonestar” actor said he never had to testify.
Seth Mac Farlane
A hangover saved Seth MacFarlane, who missed American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. He spoke about his experience during an interview on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight”.
“I was giving a talk at my college the night before and then I went out with professors and had a few pints,” explained the creator of “Family Guy”. He added: “And added to the fact that my travel agent had listed the flight on my itinerary as leaving 10 minutes later than he did.”
He went on to tell host Piers Morgan, “I got to the counter and said, ‘Yes I booked for flight 11 and the woman behind the counter said’ You’re too late they just closed the door, ”and I said, ‘Alright, you know, I’ll take the 11 hours.’ “
He recounted taking a nap in the airport lounge and waking up “about 45 minutes later” with what he called “a fuss”. When they announced the thefts that hit the tower, MacFarlane turned to the man next to him and said, “My God, that was the theft I was supposed to be on.”
Sarah Ferguson was late for a meeting of her charity Chances for Children, based on the 101st floor of the World Trade Center, on September 11, 2001, ABC News reported. According to the outlet, she arrived seconds after the first crash and quickly gathered the waiting staff to greet her in the lobby.

The association’s mascot, Little Red, was found among the rubble. As the Duchess of York told Hello !, “From the 101st floor, Little Red came down in her dress, a little rag doll, and she was found in the rubble. In an interview with Men’s Health in 2011, he spoke about narrowly avoiding one of the thefts that hit the World Trade Center. Wahlberg told the outlet: “If I was on this plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have crashed like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first class cabin and then I was like, “Okay, we’ll land somewhere safe, don’t worry.”
After his comments drew criticism, including from one of the victim’s widows, the actor apologized. In a statement released by Reuters, he said: “To begin with, speculating on such a situation is ridiculous, and suggesting that I would have done anything other than the passengers on this plane was irresponsible. Gwyneth Paltrow is credited with saving a passerby
Like a scene torn from Gwyneth Paltrow’s movie “Sliding Doors,” Lara Lundstrom Clarke credits the actress for saving her life on September 11, 2001, according to The Morton Report.
As the outlet reported, the 24-year-old was trying to pack her train so she could be on time for her job on the 77th floor of the World Trade Center. She was stopped in her tracks as she walked on the sidewalk.

She continued, “I stopped and they stopped screaming. Then it turned into one of those classic situations that come first. It has become ridiculous. Then I made eye contact with the Mercedes driver. OMG, it was Gwyneth Paltrow.
With the delay, she arrived at her train as the doors closed. While she admitted to the post that she was “annoyed by everything” that caused her late arrival at work, including the Oscar-winning actress, she ended up getting out of the subway when the first plane hit. The second “plane wing pierced his office,” wrote The Morton Report.
“If I had done this train, I would have been at my office on the 77th floor of 2 World Trade Center,” Clarke added. The publication reported that of the 170 people on duty in his office, only four died in the attacks.
