There are two common types of COPD, namely chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Some common causes of developing COPD include smoking, genetics, exposure to harmful chemicals and fumes, and prolonged exposure to dust and polluted air. Symptoms of COPD can get worse over time. Its common symptoms are as follows:
