In a recent interview, she explained why she chose to create boundaries between herself and social media and why it was “the best decision” she has ever made for her well-being.

In a new interview with In the style magazine, Selena spoke about her mental health and how being one of the most followed people on Instagram has affected her life. “At one point Instagram became my whole world, and it was really dangerous. In my early twenties, I felt like I wasn’t pretty enough, ”said Selena. “Taking a break from social media has been the best decision I’ve ever made for my mental health. I created a system where I still don’t have my passwords. And the hate and unnecessary comparisons disappeared once I put my phone down.

Selena also spoke about her tools for improving her mental health, which include basics like therapy, which she is a big supporter of. “I believe in therapy a lot and always feel so confident when taking care of myself. If I’m not in the best open space and my friends invite me in, I won’t go.

Selena also talked about more specific things that work for her and make her feel good, like boxing lessons and a lot of comfy and sweet things. “For me, there is nothing better than wearing your favorite cozy outfit, sitting by a fireplace and having tea. I’m like an 80 year old woman, ”she laughed.
