Splendor in the Grass officially postponed to 2021
Splendor in the Grass has announced the postponement of its 20th anniversary until next year.
The rescheduled festival is set to take place in July 2021, exactly one year after its original date.
No Splendor for 2020: Splendor in the Grass has announced the postponement of the 20th anniversary edition of the festival until July 2021.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown that followed, the festival was originally postponed to October of this year. However, due to circumstances such as the indefinite closure of the country’s borders, the festival has now decided to postpone until next year.
Speaking in a statement, Splendor in the Grass co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco described: “We have been monitoring the situation closely for the past few months and, although Australia is now entering the recovery phase, there is no timetable for opening international borders yet.”
“Accordingly, and with the interests of our public at the forefront, we must announce the postponement to 2021 now”, they continued. “We intend to book as many artists from 2020 as possible and have started working on this process.”
If you had purchased tickets for the 2020 event and still want to attend, keep them, because all 2020 tickets will be valid for the 2021 edition. Moshtix will be in contact with all ticket holders soon, and any anyone who cannot attend may claim a refund.
For anyone on the waiting list, pre-liked tickets will go on sale for an exclusive presale window starting at 12 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, June 11.
