Former Gogglebox star Rev Kate Bottley, 46, became a fan favorite during her time on Gogglebox from 2014-2016 with her husband Graham.

Kate and her husband, who live in Blyth, Nottinghamshire, were wanted for the popular Channel 4 series after a video went viral of a wedding she celebrated in 2013.

During the wedding, there was a flash mob that saw Reverend Kate Bottley, in her full religious attire, dancing with most of the congregation on Kool & The Gangs hit Celebration.

Groom Gary Richardson shared the video on YouTube, commenting, “As we planned our wedding we knew we wanted something a little different. Respecting tradition but with a modern twist.

Kate then joined the cast of Gogglebox less than a year later.

When Rev Kate and her husband Graham were away from the 2016 series, fans began to wonder if the couple would return.

Initially, fans were reassured that the absence would be temporary as the family took some time to help their daughter pass her exams.

Kate replied to a fan on Twitter, “Hello, our daughter has her GCSES so we needed a break from the cameras.”

But that was in 2016, and the Bottleys have yet to take over the cast of Gogglebox.

Reverend Kate also appeared on Steph McGovern’s Daytime Show on Channel 4, Steph’s Packed Lunch, where she revealed the surprising reason her mother had stopped talking to her.
